Since 1999 Van Diemen is working on a series of photographs taken during her visits at museums. In this natural habitat of perception, whilst passing a guileless window, the view to the outside reality often takes her by surpise. Sunblinds, raindrops, dirt or stained glas play their game with light and the reality behind it, causing unexpected alienating images.
